Journer.
Journaling for a life less perfect.
Journer knows your life isn’t insta-perfect – you’re overstretched, overworked, and the idea of looking after your mental health sounds nice... but the reality is, adding one more item to your to do list might just be the Buckaroo piece that makes you flip your lid.
Journer is a stationery brand created to change the conversation around mental health. The flagship journal is tactile and intuitive, designed to bring moments of mindfulness to modern, busy lives; for the stressed-out screen people, who need a little help focusing on the now, and prioritising their personal values.
Journer is made to fit into your life and look great, but it’s not meant to be a precious object. It’s made to be used, abused and loved. Cross out, tear out, stick in and scrawl. A quick check-in or a full-page download. As part of a morning ritual, an evening de-stress or before bed to clear your mind – you’ll feel the benefit of a little self reflection.
A pause button for busy brains, Journer is designed for a life less perfect.
Journer was fully funded on Kickstarter in under 7 hours, ultimately exceeding its target by over 400%.
Journer founder, Sunetra, spent 12 stressed out years working at tech giants Amazon and Uber – an exciting career many would desire, yet it left her feeling burned out, having not stopped to ask what it was all for. Motivated to make a change, Sunetra discovered the importance of self-reflection via paper-based journaling. The anchor it provided to her core values helped her appreciate life’s journey over the destination. Sunetra’s story is what brings Journer its unique flavour.
In partnership with Sunetra, we created a brand that sits at the intersection of business and mental wellness. It balances premium stationery cues, with smart, evidence-based insight and a healthy dose of humour. We worked with illustrator Adam Quest to deliver a suite of illustrations on the theme of ‘a life less perfect’ – a positioning line that ensures the brand never takes itself too seriously.
